'Gnanathandhai' SSM Subramaniam built up an industrial conglomerate through his untiring efforts. From the textiles sector, he diversified his activities to mineral extracts, cement & mining industries.
SSM College of Engineering is a fruition of his visionary zeal to impart top-notch technical education to the community. He has been instrumental in enhancing the educational prospects in the locality by establishing several educational institutions. As borne out by his title, he scaled both spiritual and material heights. Having attained the pristine state of ‘GNANA’, he dwelt on ways of ennobling the human soul and has several publications on the subject.
He envisaged linearity in deeds, words and thoughts by striving to purify the body, mind and soul. His efforts have benefited multitudes besides his employees. His pioneering ventures in education continue to shower rays of wisdom to generations of learners.

‘Cavalier’ Dr. M.S.Mathivaanan, Chairman of SSM Group of Institutions, is a versatile and multifaceted personality. Basically an industrialist hailing from Komarapalayam town, he has achieved many milestones. He has to his credit a vast experience in managing educational institutions and is the forerunner in the establishment of SSM College of Engineering, SSM College of Arts & Science and other institutions of the SSM Group. He has presented numerous papers in International conferences of which a paper on ‘Engineering Management Education & Social and Philosophical Aspects of Technology & its impact on Modern Society’ at UNESCO International centre for Engineering Education is a notable one.
He is the apex-body of the Textile Association (India), Confederation of Indian Weaving Industries, Power loom Development and Export Promotion Council, South India Textile Manufacturer’s Association and Nodal Centre for upgradation of Textile Education, to name a few. He received the fellowship of ‘World Academy of Productivity Science’ at Shenyang in China.
He is also an active and constructive social leader who has been a signatory of the convention of the Rights of the Child at the United Nations and 2nd Don Black Belt in Karate by Kyokushin karate International. He is the first Indian and first non-christian in the world to receive the grand cross ‘Cavalier’ title at the Royal Palace, Italy by his Royal Highness, Italy for promoting the rights of Child at United Nations.
Govt of Tamilnadu has awarded “Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Award” for his educational services during Thiruvalluvar Thirunaal award function.

Mr. Indarjith Mathivaanan is the Vice-Chairman of SSM Group of Institutions. He studied at Montfort school and completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Honors with Business Studies at University of Southampton, United Kingdom. He holds several decisive positions such as

With a vision to enhance overall development of Individual and Institution, he has undertaken visits abroad for promotional activities of SSM Group of Institutions.Inspired by the ‘Tom shoes’ activities, he has commenced a business venture with a social cause called “Devalan” which means clothing the world. “Devalan” produces High quality Polo T-shirts and Denim jeans to be sold in the market. The concept of Develan is ‘For every product sold, Devalan gives a similar product to a child in need’. That is YOU buy one and WE give one to a child in need.
He is the Co-Founder of Nuacem AI. He has been elected by Silicon India as one of the "10 Most Promising AI Solution Providers - 2019" (India).

Dr. S. Balamohan is a commended academician and an eminent researcher with a total experience of 30 Years. He completed his Ph.D from Bharathiar University and has nearly 45 publications in conference, national and international journals to add to his credit. He is an approved supervisor of Anna University, Chennai. He is also the Director for SSM Community radio which was awarded as the “Best Community Radio” in the country twice by the Ministry of information and broad casting. He continuously strives to achieve academic excellence by inculcating quality in academic and administrative activities.

I' m S.Senguttuvan principal of SSM College of engineering (SSMCE). I welcome you all to SSM College of engineering with pleasure. Our college located on the Salem to Coimbatore on NH 47 roads at Komarapalayam, in Tamilnadu. SSM IS a famous name in textile field and plays an important role in the developments of textile business in the Tamilnadu. The objective of SSMCE is to give world class engineering education for our students. SSMCE management and teachers followed many methods for the achieving the same and here I want to share some of them with you.
SSMCE management provides a demanding academic environment emphasizing learning. It also transforms the infrastructure with the latest Technology and equipment to improve the learning experience for students while making the teaching process worthwhile.
Teachers are fully exploited the very best of modern learning. Our Teachers regularly communicate with students and their parents, thus improve their standards. Departments conduct Skill set programs to students for improving learning, speaking and knowledge of things happening around the world.
We have Well-established laboratories and centres for inter and intra personal skill developments.

Dr. K.GOPALAKRISHNAN

Dr. K. Goplakrishnan is working since the inception of the institution in 1998. He obtained the doctoral degree from Anna University in the field of conducting polymers. He is an approved Supervisor of Anna University, Chennai and has established research centre for physics in the institution. He has around 40 publications in conference, national and international journals. He has a total experience of 26 years and presently plays the role of dean academic. He plans and monitors the execution of all academic activities right from academic year planning, quality of course delivery, conduct of internal and university examination and evaluation of the objectives of each course and program.
